Artwork designed and digitally remastered by Sarasvati Designs. “December (Cat Lying)” is a woodcut on paper by Anna Julia “Julie” de Graag, a Dutch watercolorist, printmaker, and painter. Julie de Graag worked on floral themes, studies of animals, portraits, and views of villages. Her work was considered part of the Art Nouveau movement but stood between that style and De Stijl (an art form that valued abstraction and simplicity).
