The original artwork, Madonna with Child surrounded by musical angels by Danish artist Gerda Wegener, is an oil painting created in 1935. The painting depicts the Virgin Mary, holding the baby Jesus. The Madonna and Child are surrounded by a group of female angels playing musical instruments.
